Delivery Information

PLEASE NOTE SOME IMPORTANT CHANGES TO OUR DELIVERY POLICY FROM FEBRUARY 2011 ONWARDS


DELIVERY is FREE to mainland UK addresses for all instant gardens.

If your order contains an instant garden and other items that can be delivered at the same time then delivery is FREE for all items in the order.

A delivery charge of £1.99 is applied to gift voucher orders.

A delivery charge of £5.99 per order to mainland UK addresses is payable for the following:

1) Orders that do not contain an instant garden.

2) Orders that contain an instant garden AND items to be delivered on a separate delivery date.

This includes orders containing the following plants to be received early in the season ahead of Spring garden delivery:

  • Organic Seed potatoes

  • Heritage Seed potatoes

  • Rhubarb crowns

  • Onion sets

  • Gooseberry bushes

  • Blackcurrant bushes

  • Redcurrant bushes

  • Raspberry canes

    We will send you an email about one week before your order is despatched so that you have time to prepare for the arrival of your garden. We then send another email when your order has been despatched from our farm.

    Due to the seasonal and variable nature of growing plants we reserve the right to replace certain plants from the original specified instant kitchen garden lists with an alternative that is in season.

    Inner and Outer Hebrides – Unfortunately our gardens can take up to 7 working days to arrive in these areas and we have found on previous occasions that the plants do not arrive in a healthy condition. Therefore, we prefer not to send to these places.

    When will my garden arrive?

    We have two main seasons - Spring and Autumn/Winter.

    The Spring season runs from mid April until early August. Any Spring gardens ordered after the end of the season will be delivered at the start of the Spring season the following year.

    The Autumn/Winter season runs from early September until mid October. Any Autumn/Winter gardens ordered after the end of the season will be delivered at the start of the Autumn/Winter season the following year.


    Postage and packing

    Our aim is to get the highest quality vegetable, herb and fruit plants to you in the best possible condition. This requires good functional and ecological packaging along with a speedy means of delivery. We use FedEx next day delivery (for mainland UK addresses) no signature required service for all our deliveries.

    We are very proud that all of our packaging is recyclable or compostable. Recycled cardboard and home grown straw and hay are used for packing our plants. All pots are biodegradable or reusable.
