Ways to Get Growing a Schools Rocket Garden |

There are many ways to start growing a rocket garden at your school.
RAISED BEDS
Simple to make and fantastically practical, these are the perfect first home for your school garden.
CAN PLANTER
For the full eco-effect, recycle empty drinks cans and use them to build a plant bed.
TYRE PLANTERS
If money and/ or space are short, tyres are a great way to house your plants. Just add some plywood with holes drilled in it to the bottom of each tyre to stop the compost falling out!

Things to do with your fruit and veg’!
- Use them to cook delicious recipes and have a ‘dinner party’ for the whole class.
- Set up a stall and sell them at a school fete day, or have an honesty box outside the school gates for people to help themselves.
- Supply the school kitchen with fresh produce so that everyone can benefit from eating more healthily.
- Donate spare produce to a local Old People’s Home or hospice.
