    This is one of our favourites for the winter!

    You get really lovely tones of colour on this plant as it grows, making it a very attractive addition to your veg patch, and of course it’s uber healthy too and easy to grow. It is a great grower for autumn/winter, and will provide you with lots of lovely leaves right through to spring. It will tolerate frosts and even snow, although its growth will slow down in such cold temperatures. On milder autumn and winter days it’ll keep on growing!

    As the name suggests, the key difference is that land cress is grown on the land, not the water but the taste is very similar. If you grow it under cover (a cloche or fleece) or in a milder region you should be able to harvest it throughout winter.
