We’re on the look out for keen gardeners who would enjoy helping customers get started with growing their own, by loading them up with armfuls of organic plug plants for their veg plots!

We will have venues dotted around the UK over the coming months (and years!), so we are looking for suitable candidates from far and wide. If you live locally to one of our venues, if you have a venue nearby that you think might be interested, or if you are willing to travel and live somewhere new for a few weeks or months of the year, then we want to hear from you.

Each horsebox just needs one or two people to run it in a pop-up venue, and we’re currently recruiting people (and venues!)

Ideal candidates would have some knowledge of gardening and growing their own food and they’d need to be friendly, polite and reasonably good in the maths department.

• Receiving, unpacking and arranging new plant deliveries from the Rocket Gardens farm
• Displaying plants outside the horsebox & setting up other point of sale materials
• Assisting customers in finding the plants they’re looking for, either from the pop-up shop or from the catalogue/online store
• Processing orders & customer payments at the checkout point/till
• Carefully packing plants for customers to avoid damage
• Providing basic gardening advice and recommendations to customers, or pointing them in the direction of useful resources (growing guide/youtube videos/blog posts etc)
• Cleaning and rearranging the horsebox after hours & sorting end of day reports/cashing up
• Arranging collections of old plant stock, writing off damaged/dead plant stock, ordering new stock from head office
• Signposting customers to the Rocket Gardens website

Our horseboxes have been cleverly designed as tiny mobile plant shops that can be easily re-stocked by courier deliveries sent from our organic farm back in Cornwall.

Once we have a venue arranged, we’ll park up the horsebox, stock it with plants, provide all the point-of-sale material and systems, and then all that is needed is someone to run the pop-up shop!
