So, you’ve ordered your plants or veg garden from Rocket Gardens and now you’re wondering what happens next. Let us explain…
Right now, we’re growing loads of plants
Our growing season started a few weeks ago and our polytunnels are now packed with hundreds of trays of tiny little seedlings. The polytunnels themselves are not heated, so we rely on the great British climate for the warmth needed for the seeds to germinate and grow into healthy young seedlings. “Foolish,” you may think, but no! We are based in Cornwall and it’s that much milder down here that we can get away with it. That said, we do sometimes fall prey to a cold snap which can slow the growing process down a bit.
When will the plants be ready?
Most plants will be big enough to send at some stage between the end of April and the end of May. It’s a little weather dependent, and of course there is always the risk of crop failure, but things are looking good so far.
When will I receive my plants?
If you have already ordered your plants, or if you order within the next 2-3 weeks, then you can expect to receive your plants between late April and the end of May. It is difficult for us to give you an exact delivery date until the plants for your garden are very nearly ready to be sent to you. Please keep an eye out for an email from us which will arrive with you one week before we send your garden to you – this will give you a bit of time to get any final preparations done in your veg patch beforehand.
Will I receive everything all at the same time?
It depends…. if you’ve ordered one of our Instant Gardens (the Family Favourites Veg Patch or Gourmet Veg Garden for example) then we’ll send all your plants in a single delivery. If you’ve ordered a Constant Garden, then you will receive several deliveries over the course of the next 12 months. If you’ve ordered individual plants from our Pick & Mix, then we will try to send them all together, unless you’ve ordered some plants that are not ready until much later than everything else in your order.
We hope that explains a little about the process and, please, don’t forget to watch out for the all important one week notification email from us!
