Mizuna – Kyoto Green (Autumn)

(10 Plug Plants)

Out of stock

Delicious salad leaves to enjoy through winter

Mizuna is a cut-and-come-again oriental salad leaf with deeply cut, spicy flavoured leaves. It is easy to grow and well worth having in your veg patch. Harvest the outer leaves regularly so that the plant continues to grow for many weeks. It will tolerate a light frost. Once it starts to produce flowers, you can eat the flowers and broccoli-like florets too. Planted in autumn, you can expect a reasonably quick harvest, and should be able to enjoy the salad leaves right through winter. It is fairly tough and will grow well outside, but will benefit from a cloche or fleece in the coldest frosty/snowy weather. The plants come with a complete growing guide.
