Pear Tree – Conference (Bare Rooted)

Arguably the UK’s favourite pear tree
We’ve chosen this variety of pear tree because it is just such a good all-rounder. You really can’t go wrong. You can plant it in full sun or partial shade, up against a north facing wall or south facing, you can grow it in pots or in the ground. You can train it as an espalier, fan or cordon (and if you don’t know what that means, don’t worry, you don’t need to) and you can grow it in the south or the north of the country. It is reliable, heavy cropping and super tasty.

Harvesting: This variety is best eaten fresh from the tree but will store for a few weeks after picking in early autumn

Pruning & Growing Information

This pear tree will benefit from a little pruning in winter (not obligatory) – a growing guide will be provided with your delivery. It is best planted into the ground but you could plant into a large container as well.

Being self-fertile it can be grown alone without the need for a second pear tree for cross-pollination.
