Decorative and deliciously tasty
This is an Australian variety that produces bluish-green, deep ribbed fruits that taste almost like treacle when roasted. These fruits can grow pretty big, as much as 4.5kg! They store brilliantly, so are great to use over the course of late winter when other crops are scarce. You can expect to get 3 or 4 large squashes from each plant, so enjoy all those yummy stews and soups!

Number of plants: 3

Variety: Queensland Blue (organic*)

Can be grown in: These grow well outside, so if you have the space then go for a raised bed or similar, but they will grow well in pots too. Find out more about growing squash in our growing guide below.

In the kitchen: For a simple and delicious side dish, try baking this squash until the flesh is soft. Also brilliant and tasty in soups.

Can be delivered from: Late April to July. These plants will arrive bare-rooted with an approximate height of 10-20cm.

*Transplants suitable for organic growing.
