Mizuna is a cut-and-come-again Oriental salad leaf with deeply cut, spicy flavoured leaves. It is easy to grow and well worth having in your salad patch. These leaves have a fab flavour, giving a mustardy punch to salads and other dishes. You can start harvesting as soon as the leaves reach 5-10cm and if you keep picking off the leaves it will keep producing more for you to enjoy right through the summer months and into autumn.

In the kitchen: The texture is crunchy yet tender with a robust mustard flavour and mildly sweet and spicy pepper-like finish. The young leaves are mild and best used raw in a salad, but more mature leaves stand up well to a light sauté or braise.

If you love wild rocket and mizuna, then mibuna is an excellent plant to add to your salad patch crops. It is a little more mustardy in flavour. Great for sun or shade, and perfect for pots as you can grow them close together, about 10-15cm apart.

Spring Cabbage

(10 Plug Plants)An easy growing, loose-leafed cabbage
This is a dwarf variety that can be planted quite close together (25-30cm). When planted in spring you can expect to harvest it from July through to September. Alternatively, plant later and you can harvest later! You can harvest them as delicious, small, tender cabbages or a little later on once the heads have matured. A very useful plant to grow if you struggle to get other cabbages to form a firm heart. Our plug plants make it easy to grow, just follow the advice in the growing guide that comes with the plants.
