Plant a mini wildflower meadow!
Hugely popular when we introduced them in 2020, our wildflower plug plants are brilliant for attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators. There are over 100 different varieties, all annuals which will readily self seed, giving you continual colour for months. They are great for planting in a dedicated patch in the garden, or in a pot/planter for a mini-meadow on your patio!

Each plug plant will have a cluster of different seedlings emerging, a lucky dip from the list below, and should not be thinned out. This way, you’ll get a fairly natural looking little meadow. For best results, plant the plugs approximately 15-20cm apart. You can fill a planter or pot quite happily with several plugs to each, allowing for at least 15cm per plug.

This cylindrical beetroot has smooth skin and dark purple-red flesh. We love it for being so easy to slice, and it is perfect for pots too as it really needs very little space to grow. Giant Winter is an excellent late variety producing thick leeks that will hold well in the ground for a long time and are winter hardy. You will find more than one leek growing in most of your plug plants, so you will get plenty of leeks to harvest!
